Warli Artist Demonstrating Traditional Warli Painting

The person seen in the picture is a Warli painter who creates paintings on both canvas and wooden surfaces. If you observe carefully, you will notice two different surfaces of Warli painting behind him. On one side, the paintings are made on a brown surface, which means the surface has been coated with a mixture of cow dung and mud. Over this base, white color made from rice paste is used to create the paintings.

On the other side, you can see Warli paintings created on a red mud surface, where white rice paste is used to draw beautiful figures.This artwork represents the traditional painting style and cultural heritage of the Warli tribe
