Bhil Tribe Dev Sthan with Clan Deities

This image shows a traditional Dev Sthan (sacred shrine) of the Bhil tribe in Sagwara village, Dungarpur district of Rajasthan. On a mud platform, symbolic representations of Naag Devta, Bheruji, Mataji, and other revered deities are placed.

In front of the shrine, earthen lamps (diyas) are lit and offerings such as jaggery, coconut, and grains are placed as prasad.

During festivals like Diwali, Holi, Akhateej, and Navratri, the community gathers here for rituals. Before any new beginning such as marriage or harvest, people visit this shrine to perform worship of clan deities and seek blessings.

The place is purified using cow dung and mud coating. This image reflects the deep-rooted traditions, spiritual beliefs, and communal life of the Bhil tribe.
